During our meeting April 2, 2018, we honored Sarrhay Louis as the Florida Atlantic University High School Rotary Scholar for April 2018. The FAU High School Rotary Scholar of the Month is selected by the FAU HS staff in recognition of character, ethics, morality, community service, and academic achievement.

Sarrhay expects to graduate FAU HS in 2018 and complete her Bachelor degree in Management Information Systems in fall 2018.  She recently was accepted in the FAU Master of Information Technology program Ultimately, she hopes to obtain a law degree to focus in IT law.

As a dual-enrollment student in FAU HS while concurrently earning credit toward an FAU degree, Sarrhay also serves the school and local community in several activities.  Among the school services, she serves as House Representative in the FAU Student Government and as Secretary of FAU's Omicron Delta Kappa Circle (a national leadership honor society).  In the community she serves as a clerical and administrative assistant for Lehigh Acres Behavior Solutions and Behavior Approach.

Sarrhay has also served as a peer coach in the Mentoring Project, mentoring freshman students during the transition from high school to collegiate life; and as a teaching assistant for the Jump Start Experience: Fall Success Course, providing student development assistance for college freshman.

Accompanied by her parents, dad Jean and mom Gracieuse, and "big sister" Arlina, Sarrhay was introduced by FAU HS Associate Director David Kelly and supported by our Honorary member and Interact Advisor Robin Barkes.
