7-1-2019 Club Websites - Jerry Leitherer
During our meeting Monday July 1, 2019 club Secretary Jerry Leitherer will review our club websites.  Bring your smart phones, tablets or laptops if you'd like; some time may be allowed for hands on experience.
Jerry is retired, having served the computer industry for more than 40 years in a variety of capacities from field service to super computing architecture and development.  He received technical training as an electronics technician in the US Navy, studied individual courses with Cornell, RPI, MIT, American Institute of Banking, and IBM.  He is author and co-author of two patents, several IBM field support manuals and process publications.  After retiring IBM as Senior Engineer and Super Computing I/O Architect, he served Intel leading Super Computing I/O Architecture, Genroco as Marketing VP, Xpoint Technologies as Operations Officer, and Comprecorp as a member of Board of Directors.  
6-24-19 Rotary Guests
Happy birthday!  Lupe Eyde introduced her granddaughter Alegria Tucker, who just turned 18.  Very nice to have you visit Ale, we hope we'll see you again when you're back in the area.
We were also pleased to see Joseph Riopel, past member, visiting as guest of PDG Steve Laine.  Nice to see you again Joseph.
6-24-2019 Club Planning Assembly
Our meeting June 24, 2019 was a Club Planning Assembly at our new permanent location: Maggiano's Little Italy in Boca Raton: 21090 Saint Andrews Blvd, Boca Raton, FL, 33433.  Our agenda included: RI Theme and Logo, New Treasurer, 2019-20 Honorary Members, Club stats, Speaker/Program, and Events/Projects.
Secretary Jerry Leitherer reports that our year-end membership includes 21 active with six currently on leave of absence and four approved as R85 attendees, plus 8 honorary.  Our reported attendance for the most recent month was 100%.  With recent resignations at year-end, our membership beginning July 1, 2019 is 19 active with four on leave of absence, four approved as R85, and 6 honorary.
Following Board of Directors action, our new Treasurer is Brian Stenberg.

Nearing Activities & Events

July 1: New Rotary Year begins.
July 1: 2019 PAL Half Marathon Phase 1 began June 10, 2019 to recruit sponsors for the race.  First Phase 1 milestone is 8/1/19 to get logos into the initial racer applications, fliers, and website ads.  Second Phase 1 milestone is 10/1/19 for final racer applications and fliers.  Phase 2 begins 9/1/19 to recruit donors for supplies, food, and drink for race day.  Race is scheduled for 11/30/19.
July 1: Rotary Websites tutorial for accessing and using the Rotary Boca Raton Sunset, Rotary District 6930, and Rotary International websites.
